I am inspired by living things and their interactions, growth, and reproduction. I am also fascinated how two people can interpret the same work of art in dramatically different ways.
My primary concern is conveying ideas by moving them from sketchbook to a durable media in a timely manner. If I spend too much time refining a concept, it inevitably gets stale and never makes it through production. Therefore I embrace processes and media that lend themselves to fluid hands-on sculpting and production cycles. I have had the wonderful opportunity to study in the sculpture departments of both the University of Delaware and Millersville University . If you get the chance, I highly recommend it. This is a sample of a series of cast metal sculptures. If you want to see additional work or view them in slide format, please email me for a slide distribution.
